  • Moms and Daughters Celebrate Mother's Day Weekend

    Moms as Mentors returned to the Hoffman Challenge Course on Mt. Pleasant in Ithaca, NY on May 8, 2010.  The day's program, coordinated by Katie Drossos and Courtney Wilkinson, featured a nutrition talk by Sue Travis on "Food for Fuel and Fun," low and high ropes activities led by Cornell's Team and Leadership Center, and concluded with a "Vision Boarding" exercise led by Pamela Moss.

  • Moms as Mentors Participates in Ithaca's Sister 2 Sister "Love Your Body Fair" - March 2010

    On March 6, 2010 Moms as Mentors participated in Ithaca's Sister 2 Sister "Love Your Body" fair.

     

    Moms as Mentors provided the girls with a chance to "let lose" with a game
    of "Four Square" and provided Sister 2 Sister participants with
    information regarding the upcoming May 8, 2010 day-long program at
    Cornell's Hoffman Challenge Course on Mt. Pleasant.  Please click here

  • Moms as Mentors and an Olympic Gold Medalist Visit Belmont Day School

    On Saturday, April 5th, Belmont Day School’s hallways rang to the sound of sixty mothers and daughters running around, giggling, talking, and just plain having fun.  The reason for this excitement was that Moms as Mentors launched its first Boston event at Belmont Day School, an independent school located in Belmont, MA. Through workshops, games, challenges, and adventures, Saturday’s program proved to be a success!

  • Power Sports comes to Cornell's Hoffman Challenge Course

    June 9, 2007

    On Saturday June 9th, twenty-five moms, daughters, and special friends came together for the first ever Moms as Mentors program in Ithaca, NY, then called Power Sports.  Facilitators from Cornell’s Team and Leadership Center and five prestigious Park Leadership fellows helped to make a great day for all!
